Dual Fuel Engine
The Dual Fuel engine is a type of engine that utilizes a mixture of gas fuel or diesel fuel or could work off of diesel by its self. The dual fuel engine is not capable of working on gas alone. These engines do not have ignition systems and do not use spark plugs.

As diesel is not a pure gas, and it is not a pure diesel designed engine, it has some disadvantages in the department of fuel efficiency, as well as Methane slippage.. Like for example, the fuel efficiency could be 5% to 8% less than in a comparable spark-ignited, lean burn engine at 100% load. It can even be greater on lower loads.

Lift Truck Fuel Sources and Classifications
There are some applications which have proved a challenge for the forklift. For instance, scrap metal is one of these issues. In order to successfully handle things like this needs utilizing the correct kind of machinery for the job.

In this write-up, the 7 major lift truck classes are discussed, including the power sources such as liquid propane gas, hydrogen fuel cell, diesel, electric and gasoline. The power source is linked to some of these specific classes. The main power sources for forklifts comprise Gasoline, Battery, Diesel, Propane and Fuel Cell.

The most popular overall are electric powered trucks, mostly in Class I, II and class III forklifts. In Classes IV and V, internal combustion trucks are more popular. The most common electric power source is the lead-acid battery. Out of internal combustion trucks, approximately more than 90% are fueled by propane.

The battery is the forklifts most common power source. Battery powered units make up approximately 60% of the new forklifts sold in the United States. Their benefits include: less maintenance requirements, quiet operation, the ability to be utilized outdoors and inside with no harmful emissions.
