Telescopic forklifts
Telescopic forklift models are outfitted with a pronged lift on an arm that extends over the top of the truck providing versatility and great height. The arm, or crane, is referred to as a telescopic boom. The boom enables the operator to maintain a high degree of control while lifting the cargo to great heights. Standard forklifts aren't able to move the load towards and away from the forklift cab, whereas a telescopic forklift could allow that movement. The telescopic forklift is commonly utilized in construction and agriculture. It is better for applications where greater control and lift is needed.
A lift truck carton clamp attachments are better in situations requiring high volume carton handling. The attachment has arm pads with four way reversible rubber linings that allow the operator to utilize uniform clamping force when picking up a cargo. It is available with a backrest that protects the loads from damage.
A slip sheet attachment fits onto a slip sheet forklift. It is used for storing systems which don't use pallets. The attachment clamps onto the slip sheet and pulls it onto the forks on the forklift. This kind of system is useful for intra-corporate deliveries and for overseas shipments.
A lift platform that is meant to raise staff is called a Man Basket. It attaches to the forklift forks and a strap or chain is used to attach the basket to the lift truck carriage. The platform has railings to protect the personnel from falling to the ground. Brackets on the platform are used for fastening the worker's safety harness.
