Narrow aisle forklifts work by increasing the ratio of the storage space to the aisle width. Yale features the single reach NR and the double reach NDR models for aisle widths of eight to ten feet. The Narrow Aisle trucks made by Yale offer a Quadra-Flexx Operator Compartment that has various stance and control handle configurations and apply best-in-class ergonomics.
NR & NDR Productivity Enhancements
Quadra-Flexx Operator Compartment: To be able to meet a wider range of operations, there are many control handle configurations such as the choice of fore, the aft stance, and the side-stance options.
AC Motor Technology: This technology provides powerful deceleration and acceleration as well as fast lifting speeds. It has been made for quick plugging in order to facilitate more responsive directional changes which combine to increase the amount of loads transported in a shift.
Mast & Reach Assembly: The mast reach assembly consists of trunion mounting and tapered roller bearings. This increases the mast rigidity and durability; along with the gusseted rear frame weldment, and the reach assembly carriage that are reinforced for long life.
Power Lowering: To greatly improve the overall throughput and production, Yale provides industry leading uploading speeds and lowering speeds.
Regenerative Lowering: The regenerative lowering is a great function that maintains lower oil operating temperature while reducing battery changes per shift.
Electronic Steering: The electronic steering eliminates the need for hydraulic pumps and thus greatly reduces energy. The steering tiller is adjustable by the operator and the technician could adjust the steer effort in order to reduce operator exhaustion. During the start-up process, drive tire centers start automatically.
Order Selectors: Order pickers are also known as narrow aisle and very narrow aisle trucks. These machinery are designed for the manual handling of racked loads which are smaller than pallet size. These order selectors raise both the operator and the load to its required height. This height could be over 30 feet. Similar with most turret trucks they are normally wire or rail guided when used in very narrow aisle applications.
